“You are a true professional and a good soul……

Secondly, I just want to thank you, yet again, for working with me, and supporting me through some challenging times when my self-esteem was clearly compromised. I was struggling, mind and body, and you bolstered me, listened, consulted, asked meaningful questions, gave me encouragement, hope, and actively worked to help me through it all. And you did just that … you helped through it all.

I am quite sure that all of my experiences, good, bad, soul-searching, and very much working with you, has prepared me to be ready for a Joy.

So, I just want to thank you again, Karen. Truly. I always be grateful. Thank you. – Tim R.

“My brain is my bread and butter, so when after two years of battling ‘brain fog’ (not thinking clearly, focusing, problem solving like I used to), I was introduced to Karen. She has been my personal cheerleader!  A positive voice who is always on my side. She introduced me to tools that help me speak back to the incessant critical voice that was keeping me stuck, creating anxiety, depression and ruining the quality of my life. I am still on the journey, and am so grateful to Karen for her perspective, feedback and staunch unwillingness to let me believe that I am anything less than a unique, valuable human being.” – Rebecca, Coaching Client

“I consider myself a positive up beat person. This past year has been the darkest year of my life. A series of very traumatic events happened. I had become very dark, sad and depressed. It got to a point all I did was cry. I made an appointment with Karen and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. The first visit I felt like the weight of the world was lifted. My smile came back and along with my positive attitude. I can’t thank Karen enough for giving me my life back.” – Dawn, Psychotherapy Client

“Karen has been a blessing to my teenage daughter as her counselor. Her ability to create an atmosphere of safety and respect, to listen and advise without judgment, gained my daughter’s trust and encouraged her to share her innermost thoughts and feelings. Karen has a way of engaging you with her genuine interest and desire to help and heal. We are thankful for Karen’s work in helping my daughter to know herself better and become a more confident young woman.” – Sharon, Parent

“Hi my name is Hailey and I’ve been seeing Karen since I was 12 years old. When I first started going to Karen I was very lost. I felt very mad at the world. I was a middle school girl who had lost confidence in herself due to bullying and at home situations. I didn’t talk the first couple of times attending but slowly but surely I began to open up. I first started working on my inner self and gaining confidence all the way up to gaining strength over my anxiety and depression. Going through counseling has taught me so much about myself. If I wasn’t for the work I did in counseling with Karen I’m not sure now at the age of 20 I would be where I am now. I have learned so much about myself and have gained so much inner strength from emotional all the way through my mental. The work that I have done with Karen has shaped me into the person I am today. I’m really happy that I got the opportunity to work with Karen and as I continue my journey with her into my adulthood I know I will always be prepared when life hits me.” – Hailey, Teen Client

“Before working with Karen, the greatest challenges in my life were A) Dealing with the death of my wife from cancer B) Quitting smoking after 35 years and its nicotine withdrawal C) Physical problems exacerbated from insomnia and anxiety.

When I first started working with Karen I was a mess! She could hear the fear in my voice. I couldn’t sleep. I was afraid to go back to bed at night fearful I wouldn’t sleep again. My arthritis in my hip was terrible from lack of sleep. Nicotine withdrawal had me feeling like I was literally losing my mind. I couldn’t sit or relax.

What finally had me say “enough is enough” is when I really was worried about my sanity. The minimal sleep had me worried and all the worrying made me not sleep is a vicious cycle!

The pranic healing is my favorite part of our work! Me being always skeptical, Karen has proven to me time and time again this healing works not only on your thinking but physically also.

I have come so far since beginning these sessions! I am almost fully back to my confident self like before all this started. I am more outgoing and engaging with other people where I was definitely withdrawn before. My family says they have noticed a distinct difference in my happiness and moods. Most of all Karen has given me my life back with all the work we have done!” – Loren M.

Before working with Karen, my daughter had presented with some very specific phobias and focus issues that caused her great anxiety at school in elementary school. She developed panic attacks and feelings of inadequacy.

The cycle of anxiety was causing feelings of depression and low self-esteem. My daughter had trouble self-advocating and speaking up to peers or teachers. She also was exhausted from holding it together in
school all day – coming home frustrated and feeling defeated.

We had been searching for the right person to help my daughter through her challenges and came across Karen’s site, after seeing a few that were not the right fit. Upon meeting Karen, my daughter immediately connected with her. She is amazing with children, has a unique ability to boost their confidence and start believing in themselves again. She has a very warm demeanor and this was the first counselor my daughter felt comfortable being honest with and sharing her feelings with. She was very receptive to Karen’s approach and suggestions.

Karen has provided a safe environment for my daughter to speak about her worries and fears. She responded well to the pranic healing as well as Karen’s adorable therapy dog. Karen was able to covey that she truly understood her, which was a breakthrough.

After working with Karen the last 1-2 years, my daughter is happier and more confident. She entered middle school and was able to make that transition more easily with Karen’s support. I see her practice the tools Karen has taught her when feelings of worry or anxiety creep up. I see her work on and improve her ability to approach a teacher or talk to a new friend for example. Her anxieties are more manageable as well. I am very grateful that we met Karen and for the support she has given to my daughter and to me as her parent. I would highly recommend Karen for any child or adult seeking a supportive counseling environment with positive outcomes. – Parent
